Hey, thanks a lot for your kind support :)
21yearsofyugen asked: this is a question in connection to the previous one about film and digital. You said you use both but do you use both for your blog here. How many of these are scanned negatives and if you do do that, what program do you use because you seem to be able to get the dust off very well? Thanks for answering, love your work.
Hi,
I would say I’m posting 50% film and 50% digital images. I use Silverfast to scan my neg and then Lightroom to work on exposure and contrasts - and also to remove some dust.
Regarding dust management, my experience is that most of it can be avoided by a very clean development process. I dry my negatives in a hot and humid room and I do not let them hanged more than one hour. My experience is also that you get cleaner negatives if you filter you developer (with a coffee filter).
Thanks for your nice comment !
readyaimclick asked: Hello! Can I just ask, do you shoot in film or digital? Or maybe a mix of both? I hope you'll answer, I find your street photography work interesting and inspiring!
Hi and thanks for your nice message !
I shoot both digital and film. I love to shoot with my old film cameras. They make me slow down and think more about the photo I want to get. And I like the chemistry involved in the dark room. With film, I have the feeling that I really “build” my images.
Digital is different. But I noticed I take more risks and I am more willing to test new things with my digital camera… So I try to keep a balance between the two.
